The Wooden Roof Of The Sports Centre

My inspiration comes from a wooden roof, which was used in a French gymnasium. I learned the advantages of the site during design, such as ventilation and light transmission. In terms of material selection, the roof is made of wood, which conforms to the environmental protection theme I want to express.

I could deform and exaggerate to a certain extent based on the original design and combine different materials to make my model in the next time. From the perspective of design, I found that my thinking is too single and fixed, almost the same as the existing buildings. In fact, I should analyze buildings and make models from different perspectives, for example, sometimes using abstract methods to express is more visual than concrete expressions. It would be better if I could add more of my own thinking and boldly try other styles of expression.

When I made the model, I chose cardboard. Next time, I can choose a real board to complete it. This will be more consistent with the original design, more real than cardboard, and will certainly have a different effect. In addition, I could add some new materials, such as glass and paper, to make the architectural style more changeable. In addition, the materials I chose this time were bought in the school store. In the future, I can use the materials around me to make them more lifelike and resonant when I make other abstract models.
